The Monkey's Paw

The Monkey’s Paw by W.W.Jacobs (1989)

     

     I read The Monkey’s Paw. This book is a horror story. In this book, the White family was changed the unhappy living by one monkey’s paw.

     I wrote down three quotes from The Monkey’s Paw and will discus them. The first: “‘But remember – this monkey’s paw brings unhappiness!’” (p.10). This sentence is a conversation of the old soldier. He knows a lot of interesting stories about India. He told the White family the serious story of the monkey’s paw. This can wish three times. But he also told that be careful when you use it. The second: “Suddenly, the old man saw a face at the window.” (p.20). this sentence made me more scare. After using the monkey’s paw, nothing happened, but Mr. White saw the face! It was so weirdness. The third: “The road was dark and quiet – and there was nobody there.” (p.39). Mrs White and Mr White heard the noise of walking around a first floor. They go down to there, but there was nothing. I know the monkey’s paw is serious things.

    I recommend this book. Because I became to read the continues more and more. Please read and check what happened to them!
